STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Cabinet Technicians in East Alton, Illinois to support interior modification and refurbishment projects on corporate aircraft. This role focuses on the fabrication, repair, and installation of custom cabinetry and interior components. If you have hands-on experience working with high-end aircraft interiors, RVs, or yachts, this is your chance to join an industry-leading aviation team. Key Responsibilities: Install, remove, repair, and modify aircraft cabinets and related systems Perform tasks such as re-laminating, veneering, sanding, and fabrication of new cabinetry Support light electrical system installation and mechanical adjustments Maintain and repair shop tools, equipment, and workspaces Complete daily turnover sheets and document progress accurately Ensure a clean, organized work environment and adhere to safety protocols Work independently on assigned projects with minimal supervision Assist with large-scale modification projects as needed Follow FAA regulations and company procedures during all tasks Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years of experience working on corporate aircraft interiors preferred Comparable experience in high-end RV or yacht cabinetry considered Familiarity with basic electrical tools, power tools, and finishing equipment Self-motivated with the ability to maintain a rapid, quality-driven work pace Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow technical drawings and verbal instructions Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA and hazmat handling Customer service mindset with a professional work ethic Physical Requirements: Able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, and sitting Repetitive hand and arm movements, especially for detailed cabinet work Comfortable working in tight spaces and varied positions in and around aircraft Work Environment: Work takes place primarily in a heated hangar or interior shop Occasional outdoor work on the aircraft ramp as needed Use of personal hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as sanders and saws Occasional use of office equipment like computers and printers Benefits: STS Technical Services offers a full suite of employee benefits, including: Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Long-term career opportunities in aviation interiors About STS Technical Services: STS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm trusted by some of the biggest names in aerospace, defense, and manufacturing.
