Title: Coding Manager - Health Information Management (HIM) Location: New York City, NY Job Type: FTE/Permanent 4 days in office and 1 day working remote Job Description Join the tight-knit HIM team and manage the activities and operations of assigned areas of responsibility. Manage assigned areas to promote effective and efficient operations. Establish policies and procedures and ensure practices are consistent with regulatory agencies. Review, recommend, and implement changes to departmental programs and projects. Participate in teams and committees related to HIM and clinical information systems as required. Preferred Criteria Bachelor's degree Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or equivalent Required Criteria High School Diploma or GED Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) Knowledge of hospital information systems High degree of analytical ability Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications, such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc. Demonstrated knowledge of Health Information Management functions, policies, and practices in an electronic environment for inpatient coding only.
