Summary

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program approval, including award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years), is determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants are ineligible to apply.

Duties

• Ensure productivity is maintained at the established level, utilizing recommended Central Office Relative Value Unit (RVU) requirements.
• Patient Care: Perform oral examinations, intra- and extraoral radiographs, biopsies, cultures, cytologic smears, and manage complex oral health issues including surgeries, trauma repairs, implant placements, and management of systemic disease manifestations.
• Leadership: Serve as Program Manager of the oral surgery section, providing leadership, training, and guidance to residents and clinical staff.
• Provide oral surgery consultations and guidance to dental and hospital staff.
• Ensure departmental orientation for rotating residents and act as Subject Matter Expert for community oral & maxillofacial treatment plans.
• Coordinate with other hospital services and participate in survey readiness and safety initiatives.
• Work Schedule: 24 hours per week, Monday and Tuesday, and Wednesday from 08:00 am to 04:30 pm.
