In this vital role, you will oversee the Customer Service and E-Commerce initiatives by leading processes that optimize the checkout experience and manage grocery delivery and pickup operations. Your focus will be on ensuring safety, order quality, team productivity, and seamless program execution. You will assess team performance by monitoring key performance indicators and other visual metrics within the store.

As the Team Manager, you will be in charge of daily operations which include managing capacity, labor efficiency, adherence to picking processes, and execution of tasks related to E-Commerce and Customer Service. You will work closely with the Team Leader to guide and develop your team members, fostering a supportive environment that aligns with Whole Foods Market's core values and leadership principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer experience, ensuring all team members are accountable for outstanding service.
• Set clear expectations for balancing in-store service with online order fulfillment.
• Monitor customer flow in-store and online, assigning tasks effectively to meet all customers' needs.
• Stay informed about competitors and industry trends to maintain competitive edge.
• Provide efficient responses to customer inquiries and concerns.
• Build collaborative relationships with departmental leaders, store management, and delivery partners like Amazon.
• Create a positive atmosphere that encourages teamwork, respect, and high morale.
• Maintain safety and security standards for team members.
• Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Develop and motivate team members to maintain high performance and low turnover.
• Keep workspaces clean, including staging areas and coolers.
• Secure all equipment, including cash management devices and communication tools.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Exemplify and communicate WFM core values and leadership principles consistently.

Required Skills:

• Ability to manage tasks while balancing fluctuating customer demands.
• Strong analytical skills to identify and address underperformance issues.
• Excellent interpersonal and motivational skills for team building and customer relationships.
• Capable of providing constructive feedback while teaching others in a positive manner.
• Proficient in using email, Microsoft Office, and relevant operational applications.

Qualifications:

• At least 12 months of retail experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Capable of standing and walking for 6-8 hours during a workday.
• Requires hand use for tasks including grasping, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach as needed.
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning agents.
• Work in conditions of high temperatures, up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Ability to work in wet and cold environments.
• Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment such as box cutters and electric pallet jacks.

The wage range for this position is $17.50-$30.20 per hour, based on experience. Whole Foods Market offers comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, store discounts, and paid time off.
