Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for using work instructions and hand tools to build industrial sweeping machines. This role requires the use of screw guns, sockets, wrenches, and other power tools to assemble hydraulic, electrical, and sub-assembly parts. The assembly process involves four different stations of increasing complexity, which include tasks such as installing brakes, tires, engines, lift arms, radiators, hoses, harnesses, sub-assemblies, electrifying the machine, and installing sheet metal and hoppers in the final assembly. Each station requires approximately 4-5 hours of labor.
Responsibilities
Use work instructions and hand tools to assemble industrial sweeping machines.
Utilize screw guns, sockets, wrenches, and power tools for assembly tasks.
Perform assembly at four different stations, each with progressively complex tasks.
Install brakes, tires, engines, lift arms, radiators, hoses, harnesses, and sub-assemblies.
Electrify machines and install sheet metal and hoppers in final assembly.
Essential Skills
Mechanical assembly experience.
Proficiency with hydraulic and heavy assembly.
Experience using hand and power tools, including screw guns and wrenches.

Work Environment
The job is set in a clean manufacturing environment with a unique assembly process involving multiple stations rather than a traditional assembly line. The facility is well-lit, safety-conscious, and operates Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with an expected additional 3-5 hours of work per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hampshire, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
