Job Description

This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position supporting K-12 students in a school setting located in Texico, NM. The role is a contract position for the full school year, working onsite across multiple buildings as needed, providing both direct and indirect speech therapy services aligned with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students according to IEP goals.
• Provide indirect support and consultation to educational staff and parents.
• Communicate effectively and professionally in high-stress or crisis situations.
• Travel between school buildings during the day as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Speech Communications or an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) from an SLPA program.
• Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite exclusively; virtual work is not available for this role.
