Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Staff/Senior Accountant to join our team in Hamilton, NJ. This is a contract-to-permanent role, offering an excellent opportunity to transition into a stable position while contributing to the financial operations of a dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely financial support.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations for the Real Estate Division, managing over 100 accounts with varying transaction volumes.
• Provide comprehensive accounting support to the property management team, ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations.
• Oversee monthly tenant billing processes, including rent, utilities, and chargebacks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare detailed monthly financial reports and perform analysis to support decision-making within the Real Estate Division.
• Collaborate effectively with the Accounts Payable team to streamline processes and maintain operational efficiency.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within real estate or related industries.
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Strong skills in bank reconciliations and journal entries, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in tenant billing processes, including rent and utility chargebacks.
• Ability to perform financial analysis and prepare detailed reports.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
